Nikki has her second middle school dance tomorrow and decided that she MUST have nail polish and shoes to match her outfit. So tonight, when she should have been getting ready for bed, we went to Target and Payless. They didn't have anything satisfactory, but black flats may work after all, and the beauty supply store WAS open. Fortunately, they had about five different choices of lime green polish (???). The saleswoman gave Nikki a piece of scotch tape to see what the colors looked like outside the bottle.
Me: Oh, look! That's a perfect match for your outfit.
Nikki: Yeah, but it doesn't POP!
Me: ?!?!?!?!?
Who taught my kid to talk like that??
Oh, and in case you were worried, they DID have a polish that DOES pop. :P
